Ocean Freight Operations Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Ocean Freight Operations Specialist to join a growing and highly flexible freight forwarding team.
This is a great opportunity for an ocean freight professional who already has a solid operational background and is looking for more autonomy, responsibility and the opportunity to influence how their work and the business develop.
What to expect as an Air Freight Operations Specialist?
- Managing day-to-day ocean freight shipments from booking to final delivery
•
Coordinating FCL and/or LCL shipments with shipping lines, agents, carriers and customers
•
Handling import and export ocean freight processes
•
Making bookings and coordinating vessel schedules
•
Preparing and checking shipping and transport documentation
•
Monitoring shipments and proactively handling delays, changes and operational issues
•
Coordinating with shipping lines and other logistics partners
•
Following up on rates, bookings, sailing schedules and shipment status
•
Handling customer enquiries and providing timely operational solutions
•
Ensuring accurate and efficient communication with customers and partners
•
Working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth end-to-end shipment execution
•
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and the customer experience
What's expected
Ideally, you will have:
- 2+ years of experience in ocean freight
- Good understanding of ocean freight forwarding processes
- Experience with international FCL and/or LCL shipments
- Experience with shipping documentation and operational procedures
- Good communication skills in Danish and English
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities
- A practical and solution-oriented approach
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
