Sea Freight Manager
We are currently looking for an experienced and dynamic Sea Freight Manager to lead the sea freight department in an international freight forwarding company that offers air/sea/road freight forwarding services, customs clearance services and warehousing solutions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 6 to 10 sea freight operators and driving business development activities. This role requires a strong balance between sales and operational management, ensuring excellent service delivery and business growth.

What to expect as a Sea Freight Manager?
Operational & Pricing Leadership
- Lead and oversee the sea freight department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations and quotations
- Supervise and support a team of 6-10 sea freight operators
- Conduct strategical negotiations with shipping lines and other vendors enhancing the cooperation with them
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuously improve service levels
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the sea freight sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients/agents
- Conduct client/agent visits and present tailored logistics solutions
- Collaborate with the Sales and Agents relations teams to develop and implement strategies for revenue growth

What's expected
- Several years of experience in a leadership role
- Proven knowledge and experience in sea freight operations and quotations within the freight forwarding or shipping industry
- Education and certification in the field of maritime transport is a big plus
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Negotiating with shipping lines, vendors and customers
- Native Spanish speaker
- Communicative proficiency in English at C1 level
- Ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and industry best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Creativity, ambition and passion for the job
- Willingness to travel occasionally
